Install “Roboto” font on Fedora

Since Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich Android, it defaults no longer the Droid fonts but with the newly developed font Roboto.image

To use Roboto on the Fedora desktop, the latest version of the font must be downloaded and unzipped first down

# wget http://developer.android.com/downloads/design/Roboto_Hinted_20120823.zip -O /tmp/Roboto.zip

# cd /tmp && unzip Roboto.zip && cd ~

Finally, the font cache only needs to be rebuilt. Then the Roboto font canbe used.

to rebuilt font cache

# fc-cache -r
